1. Who we are

RiskASM operates this website and provides public risk assessment generator pages, assessment-related content, source references, and related website materials.

For questions about these terms, you can contact us through the contact page.

2. What RiskASM provides

RiskASM provides public website pages that help users browse risk assessment categories, review public information, read supporting content, and create draft risk assessment documents.

The generator pages are designed to help users prepare a structured draft risk assessment more quickly. A generator may include preloaded hazards, suggested controls, risk rating fields, optional action plan fields, and a draft PDF generation feature.

RiskASM does not provide legal, safety, compliance, engineering, medical, regulatory, or professional advice. The website is an informational and drafting tool only.

3. No account required

You do not need to create an account to browse the public website or use the public generator pages.

RiskASM does not currently provide user accounts, saved workspaces, team management, subscription access, or stored assessment libraries for individual users.

4. Draft assessment outputs

Any risk assessment generated through RiskASM is a draft document.

Generated outputs may include suggested hazards, controls, ratings, notes, or other assessment-related content. These outputs are intended to provide a starting point for internal review only.

You are responsible for checking, editing, validating, and approving any generated output before relying on it. You should review the output against your own workplace, task, site conditions, applicable laws, internal procedures, professional standards, and competent-person requirements.

You should not treat any generated output as final, approved, site-specific, or legally compliant without appropriate human review.

5. User responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the website and any output created from it.

You agree that you will not rely on RiskASM as a substitute for:

  • a competent person
  • legal advice
  • safety advice
  • compliance review
  • professional judgment
  • site-specific assessment
  • regulatory approval
  • employer approval
  • workplace-specific procedures

6. Browser-based generator use

The public generator is intended to help you prepare a draft assessment in your browser and generate a draft PDF from the information available at the time of generation.

RiskASM does not intentionally store completed assessment drafts or generated PDF content on its servers unless you choose to send that information to us, for example by email or through a contact request.

You are responsible for saving, reviewing, storing, sharing, and controlling any PDF or content you generate.

7. Permitted use

You may use the website for lawful business, research, review, educational, and internal drafting purposes.

You may use generated draft assessment outputs within your organization, provided that you review and adapt them before operational use.

You must use the website only in a lawful and responsible way.

8. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • use the website for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or misleading purposes
  • interfere with or disrupt the website or its infrastructure
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or services
  • misuse the generator to create unsafe, deceptive, or unlawful content
  • present draft outputs as professionally approved or legally compliant without proper review
  • scrape, copy, mirror, or redistribute large parts of the website in a way that competes with, damages, or misrepresents RiskASM
  • remove branding, notices, or source context in a way that misleads others about the origin of the content
  • use automated systems to overload, probe, or abuse the website

9. Intellectual property

The website design, branding, layout, text, source-mapped content, generator structure, and other original materials on RiskASM are owned by RiskASM or licensed to us.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, or redistribute substantial parts of the website as your own product or competing service without permission, except where a legal exception applies.

You may use the draft assessment output that you generate for your own internal business, review, documentation, or operational preparation purposes, provided that you are responsible for reviewing and validating it before use.

RiskASM does not claim ownership of information that you enter into the generator.

10. Source references and third-party content

The website may include source references, external links, blog content, help content, advertisements, sponsored placements, affiliate links, or other third-party materials.

External links and third-party materials are provided for convenience, context, or monetization. We do not control external websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, policies, products, services, or practices.

Any advertisement, sponsorship, affiliate link, or third-party reference does not create a professional recommendation or endorsement unless we clearly state otherwise.

Source references do not mean that any external organization endorses RiskASM or any generated output.

11. Analytics, advertising, and third-party services

RiskASM may use third-party services such as Cloudflare, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and, in the future, advertising or sponsorship technologies.

These services may help us host and secure the website, understand website usage, review search performance, measure content performance, display advertising, measure advertising performance, or support monetization.

Your use of the website is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how cookies, analytics, technical data, and similar technologies may be used.

If advertising or sponsored placements are introduced, they do not change the draft-only nature of RiskASM outputs. Ads, sponsorships, affiliate links, or third-party links do not mean that RiskASM endorses the advertised product or that an advertiser endorses RiskASM.

12. Accuracy and availability

We aim to keep the website useful and reasonably accurate, but we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete, current, error-free, available, or suitable for a specific use case.

Risk assessment requirements can vary by jurisdiction, industry, workplace, task, and site conditions. You are responsible for confirming whether the content is appropriate for your situation.

We may update, change, suspend, remove, or discontinue parts of the website at any time.

13. No emergency or high-risk use

RiskASM is not designed for emergency response, urgent safety decisions, high-risk operational control, or situations where incorrect information could directly cause serious harm.

If you are dealing with an urgent safety issue, workplace incident, legal issue, regulatory investigation, or emergency, you should contact an appropriate qualified person, authority, emergency service, legal adviser, or safety professional.

14. Privacy and cookies

Your use of the website is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Those pages explain what information may be collected, how it may be used, what cookies or similar technologies may be used, and what choices may be available to you.

15. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, RiskASM is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not promise that the website or generated outputs will meet your specific requirements, comply with every law or standard that may apply to you, or be suitable for every workplace, task, industry, or jurisdiction.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or protections that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, RiskASM is not liable for losses, damages, costs, claims, or consequences arising from:

  • your reliance on draft assessment outputs without proper review
  • incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable content
  • changes to laws, regulations, standards, or workplace conditions
  • your use or misuse of the website
  • loss of generated content or PDFs
  • interruption, unavailability, or technical errors
  • third-party websites, references, advertisements, sponsored placements, affiliate links, or external links

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time if the website, generator features, legal requirements, analytics setup, advertising setup, or business practices change.

The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

By continuing to use the website after changes are posted, you agree to the updated terms.
